ITANAGAR, 18 Jun: The state’s Covid-19 death toll on Friday reached 159 as one more patient succumbed to the infection.
As per the DHS report, a 65-year-old male patient with comorbidity from Changlang district died at his home on Friday.
The patient had tested Covid-19 positive through RAT at the flu clinic of the Jairampur CHC and had been admitted to the Jairampur DCHC on the same day. His vaccination status is nil.
Meanwhile, the state on Friday reported 209 new Covid-19 cases, with 121 of them being symptomatic.
Also, a total of 314 patients in various parts of the state were declared recovered or discharged on the same day.
The capital region reported the highest 39 Covid-19 cases, followed by 22 cases each in Changlang and East Siang, and 20 cases in West Kameng.
With 24 percent, Pakke-Kessang has the highest positivity rate in the state.
The Chimpu DCH currently has 45 patients, while the Pasighat DCH and the Midpu DCHC have six and two patients, respectively. The Lekhi SQF has 15 occupants (see full bulletin).
