DCC, DMCC stage dharna over rising fuel prices

CHANGLANG, 16 Jul: The Changlang District Congress Committee (DCC) and District Mahila Congress Committee (DMCC) jointly organized a peaceful dharna here on 16 July against the skyrocketing hike in the prices of fuel and essential commodities “due to the draconian policies of the BJP government at the Centre.”

“The hike in the prices of petrol and diesel has been compounded by the backbreaking increase in the prices of essential commodities, including edible oil, cooking gas, pulses and other household items,” the APCC said in a release.

The dharna was led by APMCC president Marina Kenglang and DCC president Nyasam Jongsam.
