Indra Mallo Tana appointed as joint secretary

ITANAGAR, 23 Feb: Indra Mallo Tana, the first woman IAS officer of the state has been appointed as joint secretary under the department of women and child development, Government of India.

Mallo is a 1999 batch IAS officer of the Maharashtra cadre.  She is a native of Papum Pare district of the state.

Earlier, she was posted in Arunachal Pradesh and held various posts.

Besides her, 42 other officials have been appointed in various posts in the central government by the appointment committee, including ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions, department of personnel, and training.
